The Best Job in The World?

What can be more important than bringing up the next generation?!
As a Senior Occupational Therapist who has worked with clients with permanent and substantial disabilities, I realise that we never know what is around the corner. Life is too short and unexpected things can and do happen.

As with any job, we do not know how good we will be at motherhood until we have tried it. However, as FTMs, we should be committed, prepared to learn and develop along with our children. If we were to write our own job descriptions, and analyse carefully what is involved, there is a vast array of skills we utilise on a daily basis. Perhaps motherhood as a career should be more promoted in this way.

We should all be taught parenting skills in school so that we can understand more about the demands and challenges involved.
So remember, if anyone asks you if you work, you most definitely do, and for a very good reason. Why leave it to others who couldn't possibly do as good a job as you? After all they are your children and what could be more important?
